Hello there, this is Seri ā„ļø
If you don't know me, my name is Serina, also Seri, I'm soft, thoughtful soul with a deep connection to nature and beauty. Born on June 1, 1999, in Kobe, Japan, I'm currently studying social sciences in Germany.
I created this blog to share a glimpse of my soft lifeāa gentle dance between nihilism and positivity. Here, youāll find a space where delicate dreams meet quiet paradox.
Even if I donāt talk about it much, anime has shaped quiet corners of who I am.
Iām not a huge anime fan in the mainstream sense: I donāt watch everything, and I take my time. But certain stories have stayed with me, and Iād love to share a few favorites with you.
Maybe youāll recognize some⦠or maybe itāll spark a gentle conversation.
āļøMy favorites, always:
Attack on Titan ā haunting and brilliant, like a nightmare turned poetry
Naruto ā the one that grew up with me
Parasyte ā disturbing in the best way
Death Note ā psychological chess with a flickering candle of morality
The Promised Neverland ā childhood innocence wrapped in fear
Assassination Classroom ā strange, fun, and unforgettable
Erased ā so emotional it left a mark I still carry
When I was younger, I adored Fairy Tail ā though Iāll admit the last seasons left me a little disappointed.
Bleach ā was another classic I loved, even if the memories are blurry now.
And Demon Slayer ā took my breath away with its beauty and fun moments⦠I just havenāt finished it yet.
One anime that truly fascinated me, even if I didn't like everything : Code Geass. It had that perfect storm of brilliance and chaos.
Surpriseā¦
Despite my soft appearance and love for springtime rituals, my favorite genres are actually the opposite of what most people expect:
Gore, horror, psychological thrillers, and seinen.
Dark, intense, and mind-twisting, they speak to the part of me that likes to explore human nature, even in its shadows.
I think thereās beauty in contrast. You can wear ribbons and still love complex worlds. You can be soft⦠and still curious about darkness.
Why These Animes Left Traces on My Heart ā„ļø?
I might wear bows and dream in pastel, but the stories I love most are darker, richer, and full of complexity.
Attack on Titan.
This anime is a masterpiece of twists and revelations. The deeper you go, the more layers of its history unfold like peeling back centuries of pain and resistance. I especially love Erenās character development. Watching his transformation made me reflect on justice, freedom, and the weight of choices.
Naruto.
This world feels like a second home. Every character has their own past, their own reason to fight. I laughed, cried, and grew up with this universe. The ninja world is full of depth.
Kakashi remains my favorite, but I have a whole list of beloved characters.
Parasyte.
An unforgettable blend of horror and humanity. Itās not just gore ā itās about transformation, fear, and identity. I loved seeing the evolution of the main character and got deeply attached to Migi. This anime taught me a lot about what it means to be human.
Death Note.
Brilliantly dark. I found it fascinating to follow the perspective of an anti-hero. Watching Light play this dangerous, intellectual game was both thrilling and chilling. Morality feels blurred here ā and thatās what made it so good.
The Promised Neverland.
A chilling contrast: innocence and terror. The tension is so well built, and the world, though terrifying, pulls you in. I appreciated the courage of the children, the mysteries, and the way it quietly unravels its horror.
Assassination Classroom ā„ļø
This anime made me laugh so much⦠until the end, where I cried deeply. Itās funny, warm, chaotic and then suddenly, it hits your heart in the softest, most unexpected way. Itās about growth, kindness, and saying goodbye.
Erased.
Even if some things were a bit predictable, I still found it captivating. The emotional weight, the tension, and the small moments of tenderness all made it worth watching. A story about time, trauma, and trying again. I always recommend to the newers in animes.
These animes might not look like what you'd expect from a girl who loves bows, floral tea, and sunlit mornings. But I think thatās the magic of being human, soft doesnāt mean fragile, and dreamy doesnāt mean naive.
Sometimes, the stories that shape us are full of shadows, pain, and questions with no answers.
I hold these animes close because they stirred something deep in me, a whisper of truth, a spark of empathy, a quiet strength.
Maybe we donāt always choose what we fall in love with. But the ones that stay⦠they reveal who we are beneath all the petals.
Thank you for stepping into this other part of me. What are the animes that left a mark on your heart?
